Do not hesitate to get in touch if you wish to commission a bespoke quilt that will fit a specific purpose and space, or that will integrate a piece of cloth you hold dear. Often clients will bring a piece of fabric or an unfinished piece of patchwork that will be integrated into a bigger quilt. Other projects are built around pieces of material from children clothes or the wardrobe of a loved one who passed away. These memory quilts constitute an invaluable memento that can be passed from one generation to the next. You can see here the quilt made with Marie Lenclos' late mother's clothes or a bespoke wedding quilt.
When designing a quilt for a client, I take into account the style and colour of the room it is destined for as well as the use it is going to get, but also small details like the placement of the patchwork or the amount of extra width and length needed for the quilt to be tucked neatly at the end of a sofa or a bed.
